I Won't Keep You In Suspense!

It is a bumpon. Bumpons are attached on the bottom of the back of a frame. They are placed on the back to protect your walls. They come in all sorts of colors and styles. Clear, black white, flat round, foam ect... Here are pictures of clear and white foam bumpons and what bumpons look like on the back of a picture.

What Is It?

Okay this picture has nothing to do with chickens. Did you figure out what it could be?

A Break From Framing!

On Friday June 4th we stopped our work for a few minutes to witness our grown baby chicks go outside for the first time. That's the benefit of having a frame shop here. We all shared the chickens new view of green hills, blue sky and trees. Of course the chickens only stayed outside for a few hours. At evening they still need to go inside until they move into the chicken coup.

I guess I will be hearing the chickens down the hallway of the frameshop a little less.

An Angel With A Message

A women brought in a pewter keepsake Serenity angel to be framed. We used spacers to set the angel back away from the glass and mat. In the background we put a black felt mat. It came with a wonderful message. We all could probably relate to this...

"Angel of Serenity"

At times we do forget,
In this hectic world we live,
To take some time for ourselves,
After all we do and give.
Look to your angel of Serneity,
When filled with toil and strife,
And she will bring peace and calmness,
Back into your life.
"Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have." 1 Samuel 25:6

If you are curious how to purchase an angel ornament for yourself, check out this link...

There are all kinds of angels... Prosperity, dreams and protection to name a few.

A Good Shepherd Sister Visits Our Frame Shop.

Today Sr. Mary Ann who is a Good Shepherd Sister came to visit our frame shop. She was here at our Provincialate on retreat. She enjoyed looking at all the corner frame samples hanging on the wall and was impressed with all the equipment. She has respect for what we are trying to do because her community services our local parishes by making alter bread for them. It's alot of hard work. The Good Shepherd Sisters have been good friends with our community for years. They are are a contemplative order of sisters. We thank them for their prayers.... If you want to learn more about them click on their website. It is www.goodshepherdsistersna.com .

Glass Cleaning

This is a micro-fiber cloth!
I know I mentioned how important it is to clean the glass of your pictures once in a while. Well recently I came across some glass cleaning tips that I would like to share with you.

Glass Cleaning Tips

  • Small spots may be removed by using a dry micro-fiber cloth and wiping in circular motions.

  • The entire surface of a glass may be cleaned by spraying a small amount of glass cleaner on a micro-fiber cloth and wiping in circular motions. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the glass to prevent streaking and seepage onto the matboard and artwork.

  • If a micro-fiber cloth is not available, use a lint free clean cotton rag.

I have to say if you clean your picture glass as the above states, you will experience a big difference on how your picture will look.
