Canvas Oil Paintings Can Get Really Large!

Recently a customer came in with a very large oil painting on canvas that needed to be stretched and framed. She found out about us all the way from North Carolina. The distance did not stop her from sharing her joy when it arrived and hung the picture up in her house. Her son took a fantastic picture and sent it to us to enjoy also as you can see.

Finally! Our New On Line Gallery.

If you were unable to come to the art show in November, you have another chance to see some of the art work from the show. Some of our artists agreed to allow me to post their art work to sell for them. It's another way to help us raise money for our mission in Tanzania. So Visit our gallery. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this show a success. Many people attended the show. Your presence was appreciated. We had many pieces of art. There were oils, watercolors and pastels.

Celebrate Art Show

Let’s celebrate art! The holidays are approaching us soon. What a better time to view beautiful works of art displayed at the Provincialate of The Sisters of the Holy Redeemer. November 5th, 5:00pm to 9:00pm is the opening reception. You can speak with the artists in person admire their art work; enjoy an evening of live music, wine, hors d’oeuvres and Desserts. Plus you have the opportunity to purchase that special picture for that special someone in your life. The sale continues on November 6th – 7th, 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Bob At Work...

In the pictures posted Bob is cutting versamount, a material used to permanently mount pictures and other things to a foam board. After he cuts the versamount it is placed between the picture and the board and placed in a hot press. We have to be careful about what temperature and how long we put something in the hot press. Mounting like this prevents any buckaling that could occurr to a picture framed over time.
